nervousness and excitement written across their faces, hundreds of Tamaraws
walked through the gates of FEU Roosevelt Cainta for the first time. For many, Week Zero marked more than the beginning of a new academic year—it was the start of a journey filled with unfamiliar faces, new experiences, and endless possibilities. What began as a week of uncertainty gradually transformed into one of confidence, curiosity, and belonging, as the campus slowly became a place they could proudly call their second home.

On September 27, 2024, the Tourism Department of FEU Roosevelt, led by the Program Head, Mr. Dominique Soriano alongside FEUR Hospitality Management Society, joined forces with guest speaker Ms. Ma. Cecilia J. Biñas from the Department of Tourism to celebrate World Tourism Day at the FEU Roosevelt Cainta Campus. Under the theme “Tourism and Peace: Sustainable Journeys, Timeless Memories,” the event highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism and service excellence in shaping the future of the industry.

FEU Roosevelt formally opened the academic year 2024 to 2025 today, August 15, with its Grand Welcome via MS Teams as part of its Week Zero activities. The welcome event involves undertakings to make incoming students optimistic for the start of official classes and familiar with the school’s background, offices, learning systems, and digital platforms.

Facing the facade of the empty high school building, resting on the peaceful grass fields of the campus, a wonder yet to unfold was set into motion. Lights filled the surroundings, humongous speakers stood, and a stage that oversaw all was built. Anticipated, but more than expected, the FEUR Rodriguez transformed into a hall of stars on the 26th of April. Giving way to the day awaited by all since the previous year. “Bye, bye, first sem!” – was what most offshore Tamaraws thought last January 30 and February 1, as they commenced their final week of the semester through the “Alternative Class Experience 2024 (ACX)” conducted via Microsoft Teams. It featured a massive array of options, from unleashing your sweet tooth with no-bake chocolate cake lessons to building your inner Filipino spirit by learning Baybayin!

As the finals commenced, three mighty teams remained standing throughout the advanced games. A showdown of talent between three grade levels is on the way! Out of those three, only one for each category will be hailed as the champions of the volleyball games on FEUR Rodriguez’s Gymnasium last December 14, 2023.
