School Year: 2023 – 2024

Parades, and motorcades started the event with each campus showcasing the faculty, student body, and student-athletes that are about to participate in a sports fest that will decide which campus has the best players of the year. Different costumes and cheers also joined in, as each campus that participated also showed different costumes and props with vibrant colors.

One of the highlights of the event was a performance led by the FEU Manila’s Drums and Bugle Corps, as they delivered a performance that can be seen in various UAAP games and different media outlets throughout the Philippines. It is then followed by performances for the Indakan of the 3 campuses of FEU Roosevelt. Each of them features various cultures around the Philippines including the infamous Sapatos ng Marikina, which also highlights the might of the Filipinos in terms of shoe production.

After various performances from the three campuses, the opening day concluded with the marching bands performing the FEU Hymn, with the Tamaraws joining in.

Fun was not stopping anytime soon as the celebration carried on the following day with various events conducted on the respective FEU Roosevelt campuses.

FEUR Rodriguez campus opened its doors and warmly welcomed students from different campuses, especially the athletes who arrived to compete in the Inter-FEUR Volleyball Games.

As soon as the athletes stepped foot on the court, the audience could feel the heat of the game. The athletes were in their element, their heads set on claiming the title of champions.

To say the game was heated was an understatement. The crowd’s invigorating cheers, the sound of the ball being passed and smashed on the ground, and the loud banging of everyone’s chests as they were on the edge of their seats from the anticipation all made the game more intense and exciting.

Competition aside, the athletes enjoyed the rush of adrenaline as they anticipated the ball on their court and the ultimately satisfying feeling they got every time the ball landed on the other side of the net.

Soon enough, the Championship Match was on. The Tertiary Education Department qualified in the Championship Match of both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions. They were up against Rodriguez in the Women’s Division and Marikina in the Men’s.

The Championship Match was different from the other games thus far as it was the moment where the victors were determined. Tension was felt in the air, everyone was holding their breaths as they watched the ball move back and forth as if under hypnosis.

In the end, the Tertiary Education Department was hailed as Champion for the Women’s Division. Meanwhile, Marikina Campus landed on top in the Men’s Division.

Inside the court, everyone was competitive and focused on their goal of winning, but the minute the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the game, the tension in the air immediately dissipated. The teams exhibited sportsmanship and camaraderie as they congratulated one another for a remarkable game that will surely leave a mark on their lives.

While the sports matches were ongoing, there were several activities prepared for the other students, one of which was the Club Bazaar located right next to the gymnasium where the games are held.

The Club Bazaar was the ultimate pit stop to energize, entertain, and refuel the students with delicious snacks and refreshing drinks. The tempting aroma of the food and the eye-catching decorations of the stalls prepared by the Student Council and the Art, Anime, and Techno clubs were surely inviting! Everyone cannot simply walk past the stalls without purchasing anything or indulging in the prepared activities.

Various clubs displayed a diverse array of food, ensuring all the students’ tastes and cravings were catered to. The wide iced coffee selection and baked goodies sold by the Anime Club and the refreshing drinks offered by the Anime Club left the students satisfied and craving more!

The clubs also sold different items like stickers, bookmarks, portraits, photocards, and crochet products. The Techno Club provided a variety of fun and thought-provoking board and card games for the students and their friends to rent out and play together.

Alternative Classes were also conducted for both the local and offshore students to learn new and exciting hobbies or enhance the skills they currently possess. There were classes on how to make easy snacks or drinks, how to speak or write specific languages, and even seminars on self-love and being a more responsible netizen!

The Elementary students were in for an exciting event, the annual Larong Lahi. They took part in different games, including calamansi relay, “The Boat is Sinking,” and “Shoot the Ball.” They not only had a blast playing with their peers but also learned the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Excitement was at its peak on the third and final day of the celebration! There was still a lot in store for everyone.

Student performers amazed the audience with their incredible talents! EnTAMblado gave them the stage to showcase their talents and the participants absolutely crushed it with their scintillating and exceptional performances that left the audience at the edge of their seats. The roar of the crowd echoed throughout the venue as they watched the groovy moves and heard the addicting voices of the performers in every category.

There was a separate competition allotted to artistically inclined Tamaraws, the Inter-FEUR Paper Mâché Contest. The talented students worked skillfully in creating intricate tamaraw figurines out of paper mâché and painting them with vivid colors, ensuring to incorporate the theme of the Foundation Day in their designs.

Back on the stage, the Service Awards 2024 ceremony took place, honoring employees for their years of service, including Mrs. Maria Teresa Angeles, Principal and Campus Head of FEUR Rodriguez. It was a touching and inspiring moment to witness the hard-working and diligent employees receive the hard-earned fruit of their labor. The service awardees showed gratitude and appreciation to the institution that shaped them into who they are today, the people who have been their support system, and the lessons they picked up with them on their journey serving the school and its students.

Additionally, the athletes at the Inter-FEUR competitions were duly acknowledged and rewarded for their exceptional exhibition of excellence and sportsmanship.

The FEU Roosevelt campuses united to ignite as they celebrate another year of Fortitude, Uprightness, and Excellence. The 91st Foundation Celebration provided an opportunity for the FEU Roosevelt community to embrace traditions by reflecting on its rich history and legacy while continuously transforming education by adapting resiliently to changes.
