The event’s mechanics were designed to highlight the importance of mental calculations and proficiency in GEMDAS (Grouping Symbols, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction) rules. Following a single elimination format, participants were required to answer each question as swiftly as possible, aiming to be the fastest and most accurate in their responses.
With five participants from each section, the competition was fierce right from the start. As the rounds progressed, participants were eliminated one by one, leaving behind only the swiftest and most adept problem solvers. For the final three remaining students, the stakes were raised even higher. They faced a series of five challenging questions, with each correct answer earning them valuable points. At the end of this nerve-wracking final round, the participant with the highest cumulative score would be crowned the Mathraton champion.
