At 10:00 AM of April 20, 2023, the FEU Roosevelt Cainta Elementary Lobby was transformed into a wonderland as Grade 7 students unveiled their culinary prowess in the Cook Fest, a culminating activity that had everyone’s taste buds dancing!

From spicy to mild, from rich to light, from hearty to delicate, the food festival had it all, with each dish reflecting the rich culture and traditions of its origin. A few students and teachers were invited to join in the fun and were blown away by the delightful flavors and aromas. They got to sample each dish and even have a little chat with the young chefs, who shared the backstory of each creation.

They were taken on a culinary journey as they moved from booth to booth, discovering new tastes and learning about the history and ingredients of each dish. This event proved that food is indeed a universal art that conquers boundaries and brings people together despite differences in cultural background and identities. As Anthony Bourdain once said, “Food is a unifying language that breaks down barriers and creates connections that transcend borders and cultures.”
