The quiz bee was open for all bonafide Junior high school students of FEUR Rodriguez. It was held for each grade level, and every section represented by their selected group of three students participated.

It consisted of three rounds, each with varying questions and points distribution. The matches were consecutively held at 11:00 a.m. with the Grade 7 quiz bee and concluded with the Grade 10 competition around 2:40 p.m. The seamless execution of each game was made possible through the dedicated guidance and support of the Araling Panlipunan teachers at each grade level.

Officially starting the Battle of the Wizards, the Grade 7 students were ready to compete and beat their brains out with the topic of the history and civilization of Asia. The freshman wizards displayed their knowledge despite the short time they had studied. An intense battle occurred between all the sections until Bryce Larkin Huliganga, Carl Japeth Arabis, and Nate Yuan Francisco of 7-Chrysanthemum rose as the Grade 7 Battle of the Wizards champions.

As soon as the heated battle of Grade 7 ended, the Wizards of Grade 8 stepped into the fight, bracing themselves for the unknown they were about to face.  Smooth sailing at first, with most sections getting a perfect score through the easy and medium rounds. The decision on who would prevail ultimately was left to the challenging game. Finally, Lorem Cruz, Hannika Villareal, and Yu-an Mariquit of 8-Molave were victorious, becoming the Grade 8 Battle of the Wizards champions.

Grade 9 wizards go toe-to-toe with an Economics-focused quiz bee. From prominent figures and application of theory to the recollection of pyramids, junior wizards were able to showcase their valuable knowledge of Economics spearheaded by Grade 9 Economics teacher Sir Roger Onelan Jr. Prevailing on top, Trissy Valene Abuan, Mary Milena Sonico, and Nathan Palomar of 9-Arayat won the quiz bee.

As the intense intellectual battle of the grade 9 juniors concluded, it was time for the seniors to demonstrate their brain prowess. Facing off with topics covering Contemporary and Social Issues, the grade 10 students put up a thrilling fight to show their incredible knowledge and mastery over the said topics. Taking home the trophy, Mary Jane Ferrer, Katlyn Mae Comendador, and Azra Abarca from 10-Aguinaldo reign as the champions.

With that, the Tamaraws’ fierce battle of intellect concluded. Though only a few were crowned winners, everyone still put on a great show of extraordinary academic skills. To recognize such feats, every participant and champion will be called on stage to be awarded by the school on the 26th of October during the United Nations Celebration Culminating Activity.
