The event brought together the student body, faculty, and staff as they witnessed the spirited speeches and presentations of the candidates vying for positions in the Student Council.

The event commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, symbolizing unity and patriotism. An invocation followed, seeking blessings and guidance for the proceedings that lay ahead. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as the current Student Council President, Benj Andrei Roxas, took the stage to deliver his Opening Remarks.

Roxas, who has served as the incumbent president, expressed his gratitude to the FEU Roosevelt Rodriguez (FEURR) community for their support throughout his term.

He highlighted the importance of student representation and urged everyone to actively participate in the upcoming elections. Roxas’ words set the tone for an eventful afternoon, filled with promises, ideas, and visions for a better future.

FEUR-RSC Vice President Carl Angelo Cagatin and FEUR-RSC Secretary Xyza Giormagne Garcia served as the moderators of the program.

The moderators then introduced the candidates from the HIRANG Partylist, LATTE Partylist, and Independent Candidate.

The panelists, consisting of Mr. Stanley Robinson Bautista, Mrs. Milly Grace De Castro, Ms. Paula Jamie Salvosa, and Mr. Lester Torres, posed thought-provoking questions to the candidates, examining their understanding of campus issues and their proposed solutions. The candidates demonstrated their knowledge, poise, and ability to think critically in response to the panelists’ inquiries.

The aspiring presidents of the HIRANG Partylist and LATTE Partylist, Lennard Pasual and Danielle Dealagdon, respectively, delivered powerful speeches that resonated with the audience. Pascual outlined his party’s platform, which includes the FEUR-RSC printing services as well as the Offshore Committee focusing on inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment.

Dealagdon highlighted the significance of fostering a collaborative environment and championing the rights and welfare of the student body through their platforms: Global IQ Connect, collaboration projects of three (3) campuses of FEUR, and SOGIE: Diversity and Inclusion.

Towards the end, the program was cut short after the heavy rainfall blew.

Despite the interruption, the event left a lasting impression on all attendees, instilling a sense of hope, unity, and anticipation for the next student council leaders who will shape the future of FEU Roosevelt Rodriguez.
