Since the resumption of face-to-face classes has began last August 2022, tertiary and senior high school learners have been using the new building in attending classes. It has six (6) storeys, two (2) operating elevators, computer facilities, and air-conditioned classrooms suited for the institution’s coursework.
The Ribbon Cutting started with the involvement of guests and officials having followed the remarks delivered by Dr. Alba, Mr. Montinola of the chair, and Mayor Marcy. After the FEURM Tertiary and Senior High School New Building has brought its official opening, the unveiling of the marking led by the officials had commenced.
“The six-storey Tertiary and Senior High School Building was built to honor and continue the education mission of Roosevelt College which was acquired by Far Eastern University in 2016. Designed by Architect Pablo R. Antonio Jr., the building was completed on August 25, 2021. Inaugurated on February 03, 2023, on the occasion of FEU Roosevelt’s 90th Anniversary,” the inscription of the building marker states.
Meanwhile, in the course of the ceremony for the blessing of the new facility, the FEURM Thespian Guild’s Choir, priming an intermission number in a fit state to elevate the spirits of the attendees, had performed “The Blessing” by Cody Carnes, Elevation Worship, and Kari Jobe.
The latter part of the ceremony, on the other hand, was scheduled for the welcome and invitations to the blessing and the prayer. Fr. Claude Alvin Philip Ma. Umali, MMHC, led the Order of Service in reading the Word of God, Prayer of Intercession, Prayer of Blessing, and the Sparkling of Building with Holy Water.
Upon the prayer, the front of the building, the first-floor lobby, and all of the building’s rooms were officially graced with holy water, whereby the sixth (6th) floor was made available to visitors and members for refreshments.
The formal inauguration of FEURM’s Tertiary and Senior High School New Building marked the conclusion of the three-day celebration of FEU Roosevelt’s 90th anniversary, which included all three of its campuses: FEU Roosevelt Marikina, FEU Roosevelt Rodriguez, and FEU Roosevelt Cainta.
