On December 17. 2019 at 6:00 pm, selected students from the different branches of FEU Roosevelt joined together for the Christmas Chorale Festival that was held in the Cainta Campus. This is the second run of the competition that is hosted by the FEU Roosevelt Cainta Alumni Association. Mrs. Carmencita Alcantara – Director of School Community Alumni Linkages and Accreditation gave her opening remarks for the said event.

The judges for this year’s competition were Ms. Lilia Piorro – a music tacher since 2014 in the music studio in Sta. Maria Bulacan YMCA Bilondo Downtown Manila Yupangco Music Academy and a UST graduate Bachelor of Music Major in Composition and Minor in Piano, Ms. Anne Charlotte Copiaco – UP Dean’s Lister, a major in chorale, conducting, concentration on piano, and a violin and piano teacher in Claret School of Quezon City – and Ester Cristina Orecatyon who is a UP Conservatory of Music Majoring in classical guitar, a voice, guitar and piano teacher in Claret School of Quezon City, and a member and instrumentalist of the award winning Pansol Choir of Quezon City Madrigal.

FEU Roosevelt Rodriguez performed “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit” and “Jingle Bells”. FEU Roosevelt Marikina, the defending champion from last year’s competition, had “Happy Xmas” and “Bibingka” as their contest piece. Meanwhile, FEU Roosevelt Cainta, presented “That is Christmas to me” and “Maligayang Pasko”.

The sponsors of the competition were Dr. Arwin Villanueva – batch ’88 of RCI Rodriguez, – Engr. Antonio Legaspi – batch’62 of San Roque (Cainta) – Mr. Julio Santos, – batch ’56 of RCI San Roque (Cainta) – Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Benswenya – batch ’70 and ’76 of San Roque (Cainta) – The One Katipunan residence, the Roosevelt College Association USA and 118 printing shops with the combined effort of FEUR Cainta, Rodriguez and Marikina.

FEU Roosevelt Marikina defended their title and was declared champion in this year’s competition where they received 10,000 pesos as their prize. FEU Roosevelt Cainta got the second place and received 7,000 pesos, while FEU Roosevelt Rodriguez placed third and received 5,000 pesos as their prize.
