Bachelor of Tourism Management (BSTM)

Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management is a 4-year degree program that prepares students for management positions in some of the largest and fastest-growing economic sectors worldwide in tourism industry. Students develop new tourism concepts; lead ecotourism initiatives; manage tourism bureaus, conference centers, and marketing and tourism agencies; tourism planning & sustainable development, tourism marketing, tourism entrepreneurship, domestic and international tourism and succeed as meeting and special event managers.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

  1. Excel in their profession/ career utilizing critical thinking in the latest developments and technologies acquired in the hospitality and tourism programs.
  2. Become effective communicators, collaborators, and innovators in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural tourism industry applying professional/ technical skills and competencies to make a positive impact on society.

Curriculum

BSTM program at FEU Roosevelt is a 151-unit degree designed to develop professionals in the tourism and travel industry. The curriculum includes 36 units of General Education for foundational learning, 6 units of Common Business and Management Courses to build business acumen, and 30 units of Tourism and Hospitality Core Courses covering essential industry knowledge. Students take 33 units of Tourism Major Courses, which focus on tourism planning, destination management, airline and cruise operations, and sustainable tourism. Additionally, 21 units of Electives allow students to specialize in areas such as event management and eco-tourism. The program also integrates 6 units of Internships for practical industry exposure. To promote well-rounded development, students complete 8 units of PATHFIT (PE), 6 units of National Service Training Program (NSTP), and 5 units of Institutional Courses aligned with FEU Roosevelt’s mission. This comprehensive program prepares graduates for careers in tourism operations, travel consultancy, hospitality, and event management.
