Program Educational Objectives (PEO)
MBA program aims:
- To develop a global perspective in all candidates. Candidates study a range of issues that emerge from the conduct of business in diverse economies, political systems, and cultures including; the policies of government and international organizations; changing patterns of international competition; managing in developing countries; and the role of culture in management decision-making.
- To develop each candidate’s strategic thinking and decision making skills. Beginning with an analysis of industry and competition, candidates develop the concepts, tools, and techniques that are essential for accurately diagnosing and enhancing the competitive performance of an international enterprise. The program examines the processes through which competitive advantage is created and sustained.
- To provide candidate’s with the knowledge and skills set necessary to meet the demands of the Business Education sector. Candidates must be able to effectively teach business courses in business curriculum

Upon completion of the MBA program, the graduate will have demonstrated:

- Subject knowledge and understanding
With deep and systematic understanding of knowledge in core and specialized courses, the student will be:
- Able to work with theoretical/research-based knowledge at the forefront of their academic discipline.
- Able to identify the needed skills, roles and functions to become a good leader and competitive manager, and to be able to manage the implications of ethical dilemmas and work proactively with others in formulating solutions.
- Able to determine the appropriate tools, techniques and approaches in developing business strategies whether theory or research-based.
- Subject specific practical/professional skills
- Able to operate in complex and specialized contexts, and has an overview of all management functions and practices, and be able to integrate these to address specific business problems.
- Able to perform with precision and effectiveness new skills and new procedures to help improve business performance.
- Able to respond to the dynamic business environment (e.g., legal, regulatory, political, cultural, and economic), especially the links between our region and global business.
- Intellectual/thinking skills
With critical awareness and initiative, the student will be:
- Able to demonstrate a high level of conceptual understanding that will allow him to critically evaluate research and methodologies and recommend alternative approaches.
- Able to analyze and solve complex management problems, and synthesize information that may be innovative utilizing quantitative tools, techniques and approaches from the forefront of the discipline.
- Able to act autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional level, and make management decisions in complex and unpredictable situations.
- General and Transferable Skills (other skills relevant to employability and personal development)
- Able to use full range of learning processes, translate knowledge of management principles, concepts, and approaches into business researches, plans, strategies to improve business operations; and independently and competently undertake research tasks with minimum guidance.
- Employ effective problem-solving skills in order to come up with sound and ethical business reports and decisions, and communicate all these clearly and confidently.
- Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills for industry growth and global competitiveness; exhibit ability to direct and make appropriate use of the capacities of group members, and able to handle conflict with confidence.
