The event commenced with a motorcade from three campuses, followed by the assembly of management, faculty and staff, athletes, Indakan, and Field Demo participants, led by the committees and organizational advisers from their respective campuses.
The opening ceremony led by Mr. Khishi I. Nishino, Chief Registrar, was followed by a parade starting with Cainta, Marikina, and Rodriguez campuses, respectively, including the flag bearer, muse, escort, school heads, office heads, faculty members, non-teaching staff, coaches, EED students, SED students, and TED students.
“My first experience was fun as it was my first time attending that celebration. It was also memorable since I had a chance to join and represent our school at the Festival of Dance or Indakan. The event is something I will not forget since it makes my Senior High School more memorable,” said Frances-Lavine Rodriguez, a Grade 11 STEM student of FEU Roosevelt-Rodriguez.
The elementary students of Cainta and Marikina excited the crowd with their modern “TikTok” dances during the event’s field demonstration. At the same time, the Rodriguez campus took the people back in time with its retro-themed dance performance.
Mr. Mark Oliver Perez, Athlete Director of FEU Manila, then gave a message to all, especially to the players, and hoped for them to become part of the UAAP games in the coming future.
After his speech, participants ignited the grounds as they proceeded to present Indakan: Festival of Dances from Cainta Junior High School, Marikina Junior and Senior High School, Rodriguez Junior High School, Cainta SED, Rodriguez SED, and Tertiary department, successively.
The entire FEUR community sang the FEU Hymn and greeted one another on the FEU Roosevelt founding anniversary before students, athletes, and coaches went to the dugouts and bleachers to watch the games scheduled for that day.
